HE CALLS himself King Kyle but thanks to a disastrous makeover, he looks more like a court jester.
Kyle Sandilands revealed on his Kiis FM breakfast show this morning that his hair was dyed chocolate brown without his permission.
“I went to the hairdresser the other day … and she (the hairdresser) said to me a few times, ‘Why don’t you put a rinse through that to take away the grey?’” Sandilands said.
But the 42-year-old refused, saying, “I don’t want to be one of those flogs getting around with dye in their hair.”
But the hairdresser decided to trust her gut.
“I got up from getting my hair washed and I was like, ‘WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!’”
A clearly embarrassed Sandilands said he’s been trying to reverse the hair hatchet job ever since, saying, “I’ve washed it 20 times and it’s not coming out.”
“So I’ve been going with it since last Thursday, hiding my hair from everybody.”
Sandilands, a self-confessed monarchist, is gearing up for the “biggest day of his life” tomorrow when he’s set to attend an exclusive reception welcoming Prince William and Kate Middleton to Sydney.
“I’m ruined,” he said, “I’m going to look like a bloody top deck.”
