What would be the purpose of such a stupid thing? That situation would defy all logic but I see that it has sucked in the gullible left.
Yes and the right believed that when the GST came in they would get the money back at tax time.
I guess the gullible believed Howard and voted for him.

TSS: "I guess the gullible believed Howard and voted for him."
You mean when he said he would introduce a GST and a majority then voted for the Coalition?
TSS: "Yes and the right believed that when the GST came in they would get the money back at tax time."
You mean in the form of abolition of wholesale sales tax, financial institutions duty, debits tax, bed taxes, stamp duties on shares, on leases, on mortgages, on cheques, and the fact that the GST was returned to the States?
History can be cold fare however much you reheat it, especially if it is served upon a rusty dish.

trust funds, family trusts. the taxation regime you talk about was only for peasants wasn't it old paul who made the really hard decisions apart from the gst . or is that a verdigris coated old sheffield plate platter ?
