i can't think of a good title,so that will have to do for now. goblins and i were taking about our jewlery and that we'd like to chat about it,and maybe show pictures. i'd love to see other people's pretties too,be it joolies,or china,or dishes,or statuary,or flowers,whatever YOU think is pretty,and special to you!

these are gifts,so i have no idea aboiut their provenance.

This doll is a lot smaller than it appears.  I had a second photo showing it's size on the chair but the preview never loaded - a bad sign!!!   So, I removed the second photo.  Too bad.........the chair is interesting 

I was in another country and missing my collection.   I contacted a seller I had purchased from before and she was willing to send it international.   The only problem, somehow the address was not exactly correct and this doll traveled around the country for weeks before finally getting delivered!   Opening the banged up package and finding it intact made it even more special.

WWAAAYYYYY back in the old days,when we could still chat and have nonebay threads on seller central we had a sort of game"the ebay amphibians" . they were stuffed frogs(toys),and we would get them in the mail and take them on vacation,or to locations around home,of it was a "staycation" instead of a vacation,and take pics of them doing various things. 

then we'd tell the"story" using the pics to illustrate,and post it in a thread,and send them on to the next person in line for them. 

the year my twin nieces turned 21,i took them to wisconsin with me for their birthday bash. 

it was at the bar they worked in with my sister,and they even had a drink named for them" amphibian"! it's a thing my sister used to drink,midori,vodka and hard lemonade.

Yes, Sin.

We used to do that on the scrolling board eBay got rid of.  It was different then.  They also had a traveler wich was posed as it traveled around the country.   There would be additions to the original, notes, accessories.   At hte end of the tour it would be auctioned for charity.

We did Christmas exchanges too.  Now people are afraid to exchange emails let alone addresses.  Besides, eBay (at least in the US) does everything to discourage it.

BTW,  Now we have SOME idea of what YOU look like too!    Very beautiful.  🙂

thank you,i'm blushing! she has brown eyes,mine are silvergrey,and she doesn't have the milkwhite skin i do(thanks be,since she loves to tan!), but otherwise,we look quite a bit alike. she's much prettier though. of course,i'm a LITTLE biased,since she's my baby sister,and i helped raise her.:)

i miss those days,we had exchanges of all kinds on so many boards,they were so fun! and GIF contests( in this case GIF meant give it forward),i loved those ! 

i won TWO candy GIFS ,a month apart on different boards,i had candy for a YEAR,lol! 

i always did movie GIFs, and you had to guess the movies from quotes to win,those were a blast!

Sorry people I didn't give Kudos too.  I swear I like a LOT of things I have seen!!    Here and on other threads.   I thought the thread showing the pink winners was so pretty.

you can still go kudo stuff!  i think you can do that for as long as a thread is active. 

i know i leave kudos for stuff i see or read,and don't always post a response to go with it. 

oh,and that's pretty much how the photo challenge threads work. on the photo thread,you kudo what you like,and then if you want to comment you go to that challenge's chat thread.

You mentioned "somewhere" about the earrings being given to you by your FIL (If I remember correctly)

The bracelet and ring were given to me by my "future at the time" FIL when he came to this country to meet (check out and approve I think) the woman his son was going to marry.

I have not seen the style of design since.

BTW, I really love those buckles. 🙂
