Convenient how the labour party/greens supporters forget all the new taxes introduced then. And lets not forget the Gillard pre-election promise "There will not be a carbon tax".

Why? because the then gov was overspending and needed these taxes which by the way still didnt lower our debt and now has a interest rate of 1.4 million dollars an hour.

Labor increased tax (increase revenue) isn't that what Govt's are supposed to do?
Some of those taxes listed ... were short term.. like the Flood levy.. .. which shouldn't be on a tax list should it, it is a LEVY?

Labor raised the tax free threshold from $6000 to $18000 for ALL taxpayers.
Raising tax on cigarettes.. hasn't that been going on for decades no matter which party is in Govt?
