Our transport system needs fixing, but a tax on electric vehicles isn't the solution

i forsaw it, govt relies so heavily on the tax imposed on petrol they are scared of electric cars.
so what will they do, the same as they did with cars running on LPG, tax them outta the market!
its a massive problem govt faces but will the public wear this attack on polution free vehicles?
the writings on the wall, gas guzlers are on their last legs, major manufacturers are designing and building next generation cars run on batteries.
and people are buying them.
prices will fall and eventually electric cars will take over (unless some bright spark invents an engine that runs on water)
imagine that, filling your car with water, or even sea water?
