I'm just so angry with a custodial parent, who has brainwashed an 8 year old....to not wanting to come to visit the Grandfather who is in hospital/nursing home with dementia. And he knows it. if you're watching FF and I think you might be..please know that I think you're lower than a snakes belly.
Feel better now. If anyone reports this...what a surprise!

Saw the stupidest thing on the way home. Car driving in the oppoiste direction towing a tandum trailer with a bloke sitting on each side of the trailer holding mattresses down! I was to shocked to get the rego.

That is good news Gill, hope he continues to be happy there.
It makes a huge difference to the interaction we can have with them too! We get to do the "nice" things now, no daily drudgery that is involved, like cleaning, washing, bathing, cooking etc.
Shame on your son in law. 😞
My grandies will all be visiting their G Grandad as often as possible. So close for us.
Hopefully he changes his mind?.

Great news Debra!
My OH saw the nursing home last night, we went through without an escort and he was impressed with the staff and the set up. We were encouraged to make a coffee and take it outside into the garden before we left. Everything seems to be well organised, even to the laundry, which gets sent out several times a week.
Clothing gets returned on hanging racks, anything that has labels fallen off is on a separate one for family or residents to check, then the sewing lady puts labels back on.
Little things but so important! given the current clothing disaster.
Currently dad's room has a photo of him on the door(so he can find his room)
The new place has a wooden plaque with their name and a nice pic of their choice, something that they can recognise.

Under our sun I wonder how common that will be for our sunworshipping generation.
I had a level1 melanoma 2 1/2 years ago and have a basal cell that keeps returning along the scar line.
The melanoma I had no idea about and it was picked up at a routine annual skin check.

Oh I wasn't replying to that post, sorry.
I would say she is lucky! Lucky it was found, lucky we have such good treatment now and early diagnosis services. 🙂
