Ah of course! The Old Testament doesn't count anymore does it? No Christian believes in the Old Testament apparently.
Lets forget about the fact that the story of creation is in the OT. Or that humans began from Adam and Eve as told in the OT. Or that the reason that Sunday is our holy day is because it is decreed in the OT.
In fact lets just throw out all of Genesis as useless stories not relevent to todays Christianity. Cause nothing in Genesis or Isiah is relevent right lol?
What does that leave us with then? Not much depth to hang our belief on actually.

Oh good, so you are a religious authoriy have read both the bible and the koran have you. Then please explain the meaning of verse 5.33 that I posted earlier and how that means that islam is the religeon of peace.
A bit like that bit in the Bible that says that if a woman "puts out her hands and seizes his genitals" then you have to cut her arm off eh?
That story is about as relevent today as the story in 5:33-5:34 of the Koran is.
Yes I have read both in fairly significant sections although I don't profess to understand either. But I do know that for every irrelevent horror story in the Koran I can give you 3 irrelevent horror stories back from the Bible.
So I suggest you concentrate on the weeds in your own garden before complaining about the weeds in your neighbours garden lol.
I suggest you go and tell some good muslims that 5:33-5:34 of the Koran is irrelevent today and see how long your head remains attached to your body.

oh, you never heard of the
new covenant?
anyway, will wait to see what fatandgreedy
has to say about that bit. how the Jewish
people view such teachings.

whose belief? not mine.
(christians have the new covenant)

Yeah cause all muslims in australia walk around with a machete under their burka ready to behead anyone who misquotes stories from the Koran.
Pfft!

I'm pretty sure the good Muslims know it already - it's only the bad ones whouse it as an excuse for wholesale butchery

It sure was handy for the Christians to create a 'new covenant' when they realised God came across as a bit of a mean old so and so and was stopping them from eating something as delicious as pork hey?
As much as most Christians would like to distance themselves from some of the more ridiculoius aspects in the OT, you can't have one without the other.
Christianity without the 10 Commandments? I don't think so lol!

Hello, everyone. This discussion is getting a little heated. Could we please communicate with a more civil tone. Thanks!

ah but you need to remember that
Christians, Muslims, Jews etc believe
their holy books are instructions from God
and you know, if you're going to respect one
i think you need to respect them all.
(i think you said something like that earlier)
so - as far as Christians are concerned -
God left them instructions through Jesus.
i'm not an expert but wasn't that during the
last supper?
this website is quite good: http://biblehub.com/niv/hebrews/8.htm
whether you or i think whats written in the
holy books is made up or as you say -
ridiculous - is really irrelevant.
billions of ppl believe they came from God.

Has anyone got any links to specific cases with specific details where money received for halal certification fees where it is proven that that money was sent overseas to finance terrorist organisations?
yeah, it was posted on another halal thread -
(lost count now lol). it went into details about
the connection of the certifying authority and
muslim brotherhood - i think it was. cant be
bothered looking it up but yes, there were specific
examples

Dietary requirements doesn't mean people are on a weight loss diet either
Jokes are funny when I tell them.
Did I say that Jewish people were in pursuit of the perfect figure.
