Visiting leaders don't break laws as they are exempt under diplomatic immunity and the law only says ' not alowed to hinder press access to information' so they could have got transcripts.(after their gov vetted them?)

He didn't break any laws... he met with his own media team... if he had said only one media outlet from Indonesia could come and not another then that would be breaking the law.

yes and it was after all a mutually agreed upon exclusion of Indonesian media .

and Indonesian media may feel better as they have now noted that Tony Abbott gags the media here too
