A day or so after our PM and Brandis came across as dills for not being able to explain their own policies. Abetz has come out and told us all that there is a link between breast cancer and abortion.
Is there ANY intelligence to be found in ANY individual in our current government?
Did they specifically recruit the dumbest possible candidates to sit in cabinet or what?

And how about this for a bit of classic "foot in mouth"
http://www.abc.net.au/7.30/content/2014/s4062352.htm
SARAH FERGUSON: However, do you accept that there is a hit in the way that you've set up the loan repayments that hurts women and poorer people more than it does high income earners? Do you accept that's the consequence?
CHRISTOPHER PYNE: No, absolutely not. And I don't accept it because what will happen at universities is that vice chancellors and their leadership teams will know that they should not charge and will not charge higher fees for courses which are typically going to be studied by people who'll be nurses and teachers and therefore not earn high incomes over a period of time. Now, women are well-represented amongst the teaching and nursing students. They will not be able to earn the high incomes that say dentists or lawyers will earn, and vice chancellors in framing their fees, their fee structure, will take that into account. Therefore the debts of teachers and nurses will be lower than the debts, for example, of lawyers and dentists.
A quick check with Mr Google will tell you that around 60% of Law School Graduates are women.

I don't particularly 'like' Abetz or his Party.....BUT.....
what if there IS a 'link' between breast cancer and abortion.....??
IMO there may well be documented proof that an abortion inducing drug that was used as early back as from the 1950's through til even late 1990's ....for example the French abortion Inducing drug (i think they make/made this) what if it were true that RU 486.....has caused breast cancer in women that have been administered this drug and similar drugs too??
A concocted protectionist plan hatched by the legal beagles and Infestors of these pharmaceutical companies and then using Abetz as the pawn to push their agenda?????
.....just a thought.
I do not trust politicians but I trust pharmaceutical companies and their greedy agendas even less.

I know nothing about the composition of abortion drugs, but there is a proven link between oral contraceptives and breast cancer, also between HRT and breast and ovarian Ca. So perhaps there is a link.
Women have always been guinea pigs for the pharma/research companies.

Hardly worthy within a debate:
There may well be
i think they make/made this
what if it were true
I think you do not appreciate that RU486 is used to initiate a medical abortion that a procedure that is over in relatively quickly (days) . Oral contraceptives are taken over an extended period of time, years, thus with the exposure period involved there is a possible (and recorded) slight increase in breast cancer, which ceases when the use of the contraceptive "pill" is discontinued.
Interesting the article you quote from P007, it is written by Melinda Tankard Reist
Melinda Tankard Reist is an Australian writer, speaker, blogger and media commentator. Tankard Reist describes herself as "an advocate for women and girls" and "pro-life feminist".
"I do not trust politicians but I trust pharmaceutical companies and their greedy agendas even less"
Oh goody an "agenda". What is it?
1997 Hoechst AG ($30 billion annual revenue) announced the end of its manufacture and sale of Mifegyne ($3.44 million annual revenue) and the transfer of all rights for medical uses of mifepristone outside of the United States to Exelgyn S.A.
On May 16, 1994, Roussel-Uclaf announced that it was donating without remuneration all rights for medical uses of mifepristone in the United States to the Population Council. "pharmaceutical companies and their greedy agendas"
Trust them (???) not earning enough, so they "give it away".
Finally, to add to the conspiracy and a "please explain" outlook there is this:
Mifepristone is sold in the United States by Danco Laboratories as Mifeprex, made in China by the Hualian Pharmaceutical Company, a state-owned drug manufacturer located on the outskirts of Shanghai in Communist China.
Oh no, not Communist China! Are the pills red?
