Pretty sure you can still put glass bottles and jars in the recycle bin, I will be at the tip on Wed so I will ask Barry. ...... I do know that our tip fees are about to go through ceiling on 1st July, so I am guessing there is going to be a lot f illegal rubbish dumping will start to happen

It was a general reply ..... I dont follow where Martin is or isnt or anyone else for that matter ..... Ballarat tip charges and times have no interest to me

How was it a general reply when you said you were going to check with
the man at the tip, for him?
No point in giving out your local recycle info if he's not there atm.

Used to carry a pile of 1 litre Coke bottles to the local milk-bar every so often, and collect 20c each for them, mid-to-late 70s.

we just have a yellow bin, for recyclables
all go in the one bin
glass allways makes me cringe as when they come collect them the rentals are allways full of booze bottles and you hear them smashing in the truck

Somewhat elitist comment, that.
So people who own their houses don't drink?
Maybe they use the renters' bins so the garbo won't look down his nose at them.

by rentals i was referring to 'holiday rentals'
every weekend we get the party animals arriving, drink em selves silly before driving away (most likey over the limit)
and yes, their recycle bins are 75% full of bottles!
