Adam Goodes Vs the spreaders of hate

We have people spreading the hate for everyone from the PM to the disabled and refugees everyday.

Today we have Adam Goodes, who truly lived up to his name.

Then Goodes made that offensive arm/elbow gesture at the crowd which is just provocation.

players usually get fined for obscene

gestures or inciting the crowd.

was he fined?

Goodes is a typical self entitled spoiled brat - he thinks he can do whatever he wants then cries when he gets called out on his rot, in this case being booed for his dirty play.

He is also too full of himself or too dumb to realise he is being played by the media and used by his 'supportive' team mates and the AFL promoters.

I had never heard of Jetta before this - now he is front page news by riding on Goodes coattails sticking up for his team mate against the mean nasty crowd.

Everyone jumping on the racist bandwagon is just dancing to the tune the media and publicity teams are playing, and as I am discussing it  I include myself in that dance even though I don't believe the booing is racially motivated.

Its no wonder the guy is an obnoxious knob given all this attention being lavished on him.

what are they saying?

It looks like they're saying we want to kill you... lol I'm not offended dont get me wrong, but it does look a little odd. The whole team and dance troupe urging closer and closer with spears in battle positions.  And the entire opposition just has to stand there and not flinch, it looks extremely tense...

I'm so glad to hear that the young girl apologized to Goodsey.  He doesnt deserve to be booed so intensely imo.  He is an awesome player, one of the best in the AFL.  And an inspirational person off field too it seems. And I agree with the obove poster who said that he does need to rethink his "retaliation" techniques though, think of the best "team" thing to do, and do that.  Because I dont think that doing a war dance to the crowd is doing the team thing...

as go tazz said.

majority of people are probably not aware of

any of that.  they react to his conduct on the

field.

Or they join the chorus of boos without ever giving thought to the origin of the boo campaign.

Secondhand wonderland, during that game the NZ team also got to do their Mouri Haka.

This one probably shows it better and they are both performing.

Re: Adam Goodes Vs the spreaders of hate

If Goodes doesn't want all that "bad energy" targeted towards him then he should stop inflaming the crowd with aggressive, "bad energy" gestures, targeted towards them.

Sauce for the goose, eh?

I think it's probably too late now, and that the booing has become another of the tribal, factional traditions of football. And I think that Goodes himself must bear some of the responsibility for perpetuating these  "bad energies".

What? so he just should put up and shut up with the racist taunts for ever?  How does that bring about a change of attitude?

Re: Adam Goodes Vs the spreaders of hate

What has Goodes done since being made Australian of the Year to promote the aims of that title ?

Raised his jumper saying , like Nicky Winmar ,' I'm black and I'm proud' ?

What if Chris Judd did likewise saying 'I'm white and I'm proud' ?

Would there have been any reaction ?

Goodes is divisive rather than inclusive imo .
