We have people spreading the hate for everyone from the PM to the disabled and refugees everyday.
Today we have Adam Goodes, who truly lived up to his name.

What screams of racism?
This is a discussion. Nobody is screaming anything.
It seems some look at the big picture and discuss it while others look inside their own small part of the picture and discuss it.
Both have a right to do just that. If you don't like it bypass it. simple really.

Initially I felt for goodes but now I'm siding with the girl, this has been blown out of proportion and should have been dealt with better.
and for the people with rose coloured glasses on, they should come live up north.
Pyou cannot have much patience or respect for people that continually steal from you and abuse! It is really trying, I work with two lovely aboriginals and even they are fed up with how the youth are letting them down.

It's not hard for me to imagine many of our indigenous population having to deal with this kind of ignorance daily, it can effect everything. Their ability to get a job, rent a house or just getting served in a shop.
I don't believe this to be the case, if the above was to occur they would have the TV camera's there quick sticks accusing the shop owner/ RE agent for discrimination, and they would have a good case.
I am aware of bans put on them for inappropriate behaviour, shop lifting, being drunk and disorderly conduct in shopping centres.
I certainly believe it is the case, I have spoken to landlords and employers that would not employee people based on the colour of their skin. Of course they wouldn't put that down as the reason, but racism is alive and well.

get real, you say.
for the ignorantees, four posts up, match was the indigenous round of the series.
part of the reconciliation 'opes, towards a better understandin' for up and comer players in the sport.
flamin' idiot kid was a bloody let-down for goodes, m'self, i know somethin' about the disappointment that 'e felt, despite all efforts, dumbness and ignorance still show up to wreck the message. no father around it seems to teach smart-mouth about havin' respect for the game, and for it's indigenous players. that would be right. mother's name is looney, i read, yeh, enough said.
another one spotted makin' racist comments. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2013-05-26/more-magpies-crowd-racism-emerges/4713536

If Goodes really wanted to make a difference he could have gone about this without the publicity and ill will his outburst has created. What was stopping him reporting this to one of the security guys on the ground and requesting they obtain the childs details, then contacting her privately? I believe his handling of this situation will do more damage then good to the aboriginal people.

Cosgrove, maybe some do but on the whole I don't believe this to be the case. I could see it happening in the rental world, and with good reason in most cases.

uh, 'e was in the middle of play, per'aps the game should 'ave been stopped so they could 'ave a cup of tea together. 😄
reported it to the officials on the ground, is wot 'e did. kid got the escort off, for 'er own protection.

Eloi, did you watch the footage?
He went over to the security guy during play and pointed out the child., whilst waving his hands around and pointing, not very discreet.
As for the rental situation I commented on in # 109 the same would also apply to a white prospective tenant with feral children.

Yes me too. Originally felt Goodes reacted rightly before I knew what she actually said.
Once I knew what a child actually said, I thought. That's nothing. You can call anyone with long beard or hairy an ape or gorilla. Doesn't make it racist.
Also I agree being in Melbourne. Most of us have little to no interaction with aborigines to even have any discrimination against them.
THis episode just make the aborigines seem like cry babies.
