We have people spreading the hate for everyone from the PM to the disabled and refugees everyday.
Today we have Adam Goodes, who truly lived up to his name.

karliandjacko, do you live in a Town with an aboriginal settlement near by? There's good and bad in all cultures, tolerance acceptance and respect is not practised by all people in all cultures, it will allways be an issue whilst ever it's used in the media like this case was last night.

Could the child take offence at being called uneducated by an adult?
on 25-05-2013 05:34 PM
well, she might take offence but then again, she isn't fully educated yet, she is 13?
She is just rude and disrespectful, imo.

It wasn't a matter of someone bludging a smoke, it was an elderly man who didn't smoke who was cornered, after telling the person they didn't smoke, they were spat upon and called white trash.

It wasn't used in the media. It was a televised (live) match.
And I'm really not understanding the excuses for it.
Nice post jmk

There is no excuse, is there?

That is really wrong Freddie and I know it does happen but two wrongs don't make a right.

there is only one excuse for racism - ignorance... a lack of education.

It's been all over the TV and papers today nev isn't that the media?

Some of the comments here are really sad, but I'd like to know why people can't just own their racist attitudes? Are you ashamed, or is it something else?
I see people excusing their racism for all sorts of reasons... they were called a bad name so have decided to become inherently bigoted... someone bludged a smoke off them... or they pretend they don't know ape is offensive to an aboriginal person... Or they try to bring up other insults and group them into a bland 'insult' category... or they blame the victim. I even saw the other days someone lecturing a fellow Australian about " our" culture but of course she prefaced her comment by assuring us she isn't racist. Surely nobody here is so uneducated they can't see blatant racism? Or am I wrong?
Adam Goodes spoke to the girl on the phone and has accepted her apology.. he asked that people don't pick on her because she is uneducated... I guess that's a bit like a lot of people here?
Says the poster thats always going on about the trapperish bogans at the rotunda. Get off your high horse.
