They are all my beautiful old vintage cotton and linen Italian sheets. And I want them crisp and perfectly white without yucky looking stains.
I have tried bleaching them and left them in the sun for days but still nothing.
(I am sure you can guess the stains I mean)

Because the stains are made of protein you will need to a specific stain remover to be affective. A stain remover you would use for dog puke, et al.
I suggest you use Bremworth Stain Remover and follow the directions carefully as it acts within 15 minutes. This has to be applied to dry stains (including old ones).
Other non protein stain removers will do more harm than good.
It works like a dream on my cream wood carpet if a certain pet has a puket. I have to let it dry before using the Bremworth Stain Remover.

That drives me mental when I see someone wiping their greasy hands on the tea towel. Aaaargh!!

Martini - are you regretting airing your dirty linen on CS yet:^O
Teatowels are NOT for wiping hands on, disgusting.

Oh! the tea towel thing with men, what is it with them? ๐ฎ
I go through them big time because I have no idea what my OH does with them, he can't be trusted with anything that belongs in the kitchen.
I have found them in the most unexpected places, the same with the dish cloth & I won't mention how many teapots he's lost filling up the battery.

I have bright yellow stains on most of my tea towels. Ever since my son moved in
He adds curry to everything!
Are you sure the stains are curry???B-)
