Lately I have been reading so much about older peoples achievements. A 89y old lady winning swimming records for her age group. A 102y old lady teaching japanese. An older couple(can't remember their ages) walking around Australia. etc. etc.
One of my elderly neighbours walks every morning one kilometre to the local Swimming Pool, and then walks back again, and twice a week she helps in one of our OP Shops.
Here I am sitting on my backside, doing nothing constructive. Do you agree with this fellows ideology; Age is in your mind. ?
I should be ashamed of myself for always finding excuses not to get out of the house and smell the roses. It is either to hot, or to wet and windy, or to cold. What other excuses can I find?

If she hasn't broken her neck yet the I would say she has not worn them.
Just a friendly warning for you lovers of non sensible shoes........way back when I was in high school we had a music teacher who wore stilletto heels that she could barely walk in. Everyone laughed and predicted terrible things in the future.
Fast forward 25 years and I went to a Welcome afternoon for the new Headmistress at my youngest daughter's high school. Who should hobble into the room but my ex music teacher, complete with terrible bunions and wearing the most severe of orthopedic shoes that I have even seen on anyone who was not actually disabled.

I have magic feet.
ballet, those shoes, no issues...But I do not wear heels often. And luckily, I do not have to. That can happen too, where years of heels or ballet reshape your feet so flats are painful.
but you are right of course, high heels constantly can really damage feet. Bunions can happen from ill-fitting shoes of all sorts, another warning.
the wife of a friend has had to have surgery and been told no more heels.
she had a room devoted to them.
she is fortyish.

Another plus about heels is that if your feet hurt, you get carried. That can be nice.

In what Universe? Certainly not in mine.
Last time a man carried me I was about 7 years old and it was my father.

Ha ha ha haaa haaaa good one 🙂
the mistake most women make is to take off their shoes, and trudge in the grime. Not for me, thanks!
so, yes, I have been carried on occasion. Sometimes when I have been fine too 😉

Hey Ambs and Lyn, whilst yas are here, what do you think about this scarf - will it match the shoes?
I can't work out if it's a bluey red or a tomato red though, hoping for the bluey red kinda thing like the Dior 999

Colourwise, I think it would match but it is a brash style, while the shoes are more discreet, if you see what I mean.

The scarf looks like a tomato red. Your shoes look like a bluey red (cherry red tones).
But they look OK side by side. oK, but not great. They are different tones.
