After watching Q & A with David Suzuki....I am starting to feel kind of sorry for Alarmists....
David Suzuki also had to admit he was wrong..lol.
http://www.abc.net.au/tv/qanda/txt/s3841115.htm
"David Suzuki on the very first question is revealed as a complete know-nothing. His questioner tells him that the main climate
data sets show no real warming for some 15 years.
Suzuki asks for the references, which he should have known if he knew anything of the science.
His questioner then lists them: UAH, RSS, HadCrut and GISS - four of the most basic measurement systems of global
temperature.
Suzuki asks what they are.
Anyone interested in global warming should know right there that Suzuki has absolutely no understanding of what he is talking
about...
For Example -
Challenged from the floor by Professor Stewart Franks, Suzuki admits he might have been mistaken in claiming global warming
was causing more cyclones, which he blamed for killing the Great Barrier Reef. He blames some Australian for “suggesting” it to
him. The truth, as I’ve noted before, is easily found on the Bureau of Meteorology website:.."
Between Tim Flannery and David Suzuki, it must be very embarrassing time to be an Alarmist......lol.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Isn't climate change an environmental issue?
David Suzuki is well qualified.

siggie-reported-by-alarmists: " ....oh I see...you can post old James Hansen quotes...however, I can't .........how very you!
Also..... If you had done your research.... You would have realised he is not the Director of NASA's Goddard Institute...
And never presented as such siggie-reported-by-alarmists, but a few months since retiring in 2013 would be OK, especially as you like posting data from years ago, and from NASA, selective of course !!!! . Old posts, 2013?
siggie-reported-by-alarmists: "IT is strange that you are quoting Hansen...as he is no longer the Director of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies.
Old out dated quote perhaps? "
Really siggie-reported-by-alarmists? Hansen retired from NASA in April 2013, and you have no reservations quoting his (NASA) data, selectively, from the past few years!
siggie-reported-by-alarmists: ".oh I see...you can post old James Hansen quotes" Old siggie-reported-by-alarmists? 2013, as opposed to your 1971 alleged Washington Post comments, produce them.
These are old? :
AFP Washington Jan 15, 2013
"James Hansen, director of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, said it was likely that an upcoming year would break the record high global temperature set in 2010."
"Therefore we can predict with confidence that the next decade is going to be warmer than the last one," he said."
Voice of America/ News / Science & Technology Jan 2013:
"The planet is out of balance," says James Hansen, director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies. "There is more energy coming in than going out. And, therefore, we can predict with confidence that the next decade is going to be warmer than the last one."
siggie-reported-by-alarmists: ".your quote from James E. Hansen - We can predict with confidence that the next decade will be warmer than the last."" appears in a 1971 Washington Post article that warns of an impending ice age within 50 years".
So produce the Washington Post article siggie-reported-by-alarmists.
siggie-reported-by-alarmists you spend a lot of time waffling, but with no substance, or actual links, so in view of your comment: " ....oh I see...you can post old James Hansen quotes...however, I can't .........how very you!", and disregarding my quotes are from 2013 and yours 1971 (1971???) how about some proof, sans waffle
Just back up your comment above apropos the alleged 1971 comment from Hansen, even though it would be "old".

What a ridiculous post Monman.
PPffttt.
You have made several posts in this thread, and not once addressed the topic...David Suzuki.
Can't defend him?....didn't think so.....
Still no cigar for you!

From the Opening Post :Between Tim Flannery and David Suzuki, it must be very embarrassing time to be an Alarmist......lol.
If you are using those 2 men and some of their words to discount climate change ....no cigar if that is what you want.
Those two men would be smart enough to know that a cigar is not a reward ....science has aknowledged the dangers of smoking
The facts are not Alarmism

credibility in a debate is important. You have alleged that a modern quote of mine, attributed to Hansen (2013), " We can predict with confidence that the next decade will be warmer than the last." actually appeared in a 1971 Washington Post article that warns of an impending ice age within 50 years.
The 1971 Washington Post article was not from Hansen, and did not contain the quote. However, it actually was uttered by Hansen in 2013, yes 2013, and is reported by: AFP Washington Jan 15, 2013, Voice of America/ News / Science & Technology Jan 16 2013, and the Huffington Post Jan 15 2013 (all from the same press call) .
So having made a definitive statement DLA, authenticate it, because credibility is dependant on authenticity, otherwise subsequent (and previous) posts will be judged accordingly.

Here is what my original post said -
..your quote from James E. Hansen - We can predict with confidence that the next decade will be warmer than the last."
" appears in a 1971 Washington Post article that warns of an impending ice age within 50 years.
Lucky
it's not the 70"s anymore Monman. He loves being an Alarmists.....hot or cold..
Good to see you found some links referring to that quote!
It must be embarrassing for Hansen to be Alarmed so easily...impending Ice Age or Catastrophic heat....lol.
You seem to be taking the focus off the fact you posted a quote stating he was the Director at NASA's Goddard Institute...
I don't care when he left.....it was still wrong....and out of date!
Trying to take the focus off your poor research?h ........lol.
On a thread about David Suzuki....you haven't mentioned his name once...... why is that?
Let me guess.....you share my feelings about him....just can't admit it? I noticed you shared my feelings on Tim Flannery......
I think all your posts are just a smoke screen..........come o,n admit David Suzuki gives scientists a bad name......lol.

Oh also Monman, you said - credibility in a debate is important..
How true....just remember to check your facts before you post....
