When we lived in Tassie, the BIG S'Markets opposed Aldi coming in to the state, and won,..... oh boy, the prices we had to pay were crazy!   Don't know if Aldi are there now, maybe that is what happened in WA?

Aldi refused to open in WA because of our shopping hours, 8-5 every day except thursday (9pm) and closed on sundays. They are slowly being deregulated but there are still a couple of hurdles before Aldi will come here. Although the word is they have been scoping out sites ready for it to happen.

We have the Royal Canin, Black Hawk and for our little girl who gets skin irritations she has Advance.

From Aldi's website:   When is ALDI going to be in South Australia & Western Australia?
In February 2013, ALDI announced it will be entering South Australia and Western Australia, with additional 90 to 110 stores to be opening across both states. ALDI anticipates it will take a number of years before stores start opening in SA & WA.

Yes they are looking for sites in WA.

Grizz Aldi do not sell branded items other than their own. I've only ever been in one in Qld and boy was I disappointed, lol. I doubt that I'll be going to one very often when they do open in WA, 1. I hate home brand stuff  2nd. I hate going from shop to shop to get my groceries, 3rd I am past getting into scrums for bargains, rather pay up elsewhere.

What's not to like at the Aldi I shop at -    very spacious and well set out,  super fresh fruit, veg and meats,  very happy

with it.    I  was told each Aldi is run differently.  Ours is in a very busy suburb with constant turn-over of goods and I love

it, and I'm a fussy shopperl.  The only fault for me  is that most of the veggies are in large packages for families.

I am quite happy with our Aldi. Vegies are loose, and therefore I can choose what I want. Some packaged ones as well.

They do sell some branded products.

The coffee I don't mind, but it is stronger than Nescafe from other sources, so less used.

My dogs will not eat any of the pet foods. I think that is because they are old, and changing tastes now is not something they want to do. 🙂

The Aldi where I shop is right next door to Safeway, out one door and in the other. Anything I can't get in Aldi I get in Safeway. The car park is large, and I can always get a park near the front, or a disabled park.

I don't buy much meat there, but when I have done, the quality is good.

They do sell other brands and many of the products are made by well known manufacturers and are shipped in different packaging.

No secret that I love, love, love Aldi and am lucky to have 3 stores in my area, 2 within walking distance.

The meat is very good quality so is fruit and veg.   I recently tried their cosmetics - eye makeup/bronzer and I am impressed.  The foundation is very good too.  I no longer have to spend a fortune Smiley Very Happy

everyone is talking about the Expressi - might have to check it out.

I have the Expressi............ and a revolving pod stand! 🙂 love it. There is a red one atm with a red frother!

Mine is black, it was a gift I thought I didn't want. However, I love it and always have several different flavours as well as the hot choc ones.

I dont go to Aldi, my kids managed to turn their noses up at just about anything I bought from there, although probably bikkies and lollies would have been an exception.

Cant remember all of what we tried, but they didnt like the peanut butter, tuna or baked beans.

Like crystal, I am a pet food snob and wouldnt buy my dogs food from Aldi. A friend of mine has recently changed from Aldi food to a more natural diet for her dog and the dogs long term skin problems have completely cleared up.
