Sounds good, Az.
Branded name items I bought recently were Dolmio, Kantong and Kraft.
Re pet food - the dentastix are ok, otherwise its Hills Science Diet from a pet shop.

Our dogs eat and love the tin dog food and dry food.
The two cats have the fresh cat meat from the fridge section in Aldi and love it, they also have the dry cat food as well.
Hubby and me buy most of the things we need from Aldi, hubby likes the meat, I dont eat meat, so I dont know. Have found the fruit and veg. always alright.
The one we go to sells normal brands as well, like arnotts biscuits and peters icecream and other items, but alot cheaper than the other supermarkets.
I use their own brand face cream and it is better than anything else I have used, my daughter uses one also, and her skin is lovely.
Hubby and me buy their wine too, the Moscato is lovely.
Their bread is nice.
Most of their items are made by the good brands anyway, but just so much cheaper.

Does it matter which retail outlet ref. pet food? geez I mainly give my cats a variety of fresh meats with a tin of sardines once a week and vary the rationed cat biscuits. 'Wet' foods are better for them a vet told me as too many biscuits can affect their lil kidneys. Fresh is always best. I find buying fresh meats cheaper than buying tin and there are no preservatives or additives etc. Tin dog food is full of gross, unhealthy things and there is not much nutritional value in a can of dog food. Animals are like humans, if fed nutritional mainly fresh foods-meat and veg with 'chew' stuff like bikkies/bones for teeth stay healthy and live longer.

We have the Royal Canin, Black Hawk and for our little girl who gets skin irritations she has Advance.
That is what I do to, i buy different brand every time. I did use Black Hawk except they did not always have it & the price was going up and up. I discovered the Canidae when I was looking for something for skin problems. My **bleep** had a litter in January in the heatwave and her coat ended up looking really ratty; partially because she kept sleeping on the concrete, which I imagine was the coolest spot. Just few weeks on the Canidae and she looked fantastic. It has no grain.

Yes, I used to feed fresh, but my cat who I got as 1 yo only eats the most expensive biscuits = Royal Canin - EXIGENT; she will occasionally have a can food but is not interested in fresh meat.
I used to also feed fresh meat to the dogs; mixture of meat, hearts, tongues, ox cheeks and chicken necks, but I only use meat suitable for human consumption and it can get difficult to find at reasonable price, and involves driving many km to different shops.

They do sell other brands and many of the products are made by well known manufacturers and are shipped in different packaging.
No secret that I love, love, love Aldi and am lucky to have 3 stores in my area, 2 within walking distance.
The meat is very good quality so is fruit and veg. I recently tried their cosmetics - eye makeup/bronzer and I am impressed. The foundation is very good too. I no longer have to spend a fortune
everyone is talking about the Expressi - might have to check it out.
i didn't post in this thread did I?
i don't recall, and i didn't even have a drink last night

Have a few Aldi stores in the area.
Visited a few times.
Some of the non grocery items like tools and camping gear
are made in Germany -Sweden etc and good quality.
-note-if you are buying groceries--bring your own bags-they dont supply them . Richo.

I don't buy a lot of items in Aldi but the soap powder is heavily perfumed and makes me sneeze non stop.
However I do love theri crunchy salad mix, it is a big bag of salad with a fantastic spicy dressing and little crunchy noodle looking things in little bags to add to the salad mix.
I read on the forums a few weeks ago that their smoked oysters were really nice and I was very pleased with them and they are a lot cheaper than Woolies.
They don't sell jars of anchovies which is annoying because I am sure they would be cheaper than woolies.
I shop 2 or 3 times a weeks so it doesn't worry me which shop I go to because any shopping centre nearby has an Aldi, Woolies and some a Coles. and my local corner store is an IGA supermarket.
I like shopping between 4 pm and 5 pm because it is so quiet and quick.
