I shop at Aldi and IGA. I don't like the Aldi washing powder and OH drinks cordial and doesn't like theirs. Buy meat from the butcher and fruit and veg at roadside so don't know what they are like. I love their face creams and can't think of anything else I haven't liked.
Great value and it means I don't have to spend my money at Coles or Woolworths (blows rasberry).

They do sell other brands and many of the products are made by well known manufacturers and are shipped in different packaging.
No secret that I love, love, love Aldi and am lucky to have 3 stores in my area, 2 within walking distance.
The meat is very good quality so is fruit and veg. I recently tried their cosmetics - eye makeup/bronzer and I am impressed. The foundation is very good too. I no longer have to spend a fortune
everyone is talking about the Expressi - might have to check it out.
i didn't post in this thread did I?
i don't recall, and i didn't even have a drink last night
LOL so you didnt. I was quoting roserobin.

I'm going to go and get an Expressi tomorrow! Heard so much about it, and saw ad on tv tonight.
When we moved back to this area some 4 years ago, I was feeling very low about the decision to leave lovely Tasmania, and while driving north somewhere near Vic border, I had a sudden thought which cheered me up no end - "OMG, I can shop at Aldi again!!!"
(they should pay me for that) lol

Meep, I know this is off topic, but is that you in your ID photo? If is, you are a Twiggy lookalike!

I've had an expressi for about a year...love it and it gets used about 8/10 times a day and hasn't missed a beat.

I bought the Expressi too and love it, used numerous times a day here as well.
I bought it after my mum said she had bought one. She had an auto Delonghi that she paid around $2000 for. It made good coffee but broke down 3 times in a year or so. Even though auto, still a pain to use. In fact, i only ever got one coffee made for me fom her "(because it is too much drama for 2 coffees) used to drive me mad! Anyway, after sticking it downstairs in garage after yet again another break down, she read great reviews about the Aldi machine so bought it.
Loads of capsules to buy for it, works out around 35 cents each for the coffee itself.
I too tried Aldi Indian frozen meal and disgusting. Reminds me I have one in the freezer I must remember to throw in the bin. Years ago Choice magazine had the Aldi washing powder as the best value.
I only really go to Aldi for their coffee, then I have a look around but dont buy much else. Not much that appeals really. I pretty much just buy fresh foods for eating, very little packaged stuff anyway. I love hardly having anything stored in my pantry!

Those with cats.
They now have clumping cat litter in a large bag for under $6. Pretty much the same stuff I buy at Coles for $12, bought a bag last week and as far as I can see it performs the same.
