Iโve only been interested in gardening in the last prob 8 yrs, so, by all means, Iโm still learning and I have had many plants die despite me *nursing* them, sometimes, even lovingly ๐โฆ. But such is the life of a plant I guess.
Iโm hoping that on this board, we can share our plant pics, what works, what doesnโt, give some handy hints and some solutions for those hard to grow plants.
I confess, I prefer my plants in pots, and now that I actually have a sort of greenhouse area, Iโm loving it immensely.
And to top it all off, Iโve just right now purchased 3 x pink princess philodendrons ๐
Oh Lordy lordโฆ.. Iโm so excited about these babies. These ones will stay inside with me until they grow a bit stronger.

I've got a compost tumbler, but over winter it was in the shade, and now I'm glaring at it wondering if I will ever see rich dark loamy compost in there.
The soil here is very rocky, so I must improve and enrich and soften and do whatever I can to get it to better condition.

@dominoโฆ. Hahahahaโฆ. Oh those damn weeds. They can absolutely take over quick smart.
on a side note, your frangipani is looking a bit sad in that round pot ๐โฆ might be time to put it in the ground mate. ๐
I actually planted mine into the ground, yesterday.

I have a small pine tree I bought at Bunnings (the instructions were that if not re-potted it would not grow much, which turned out to be true), an aloe vera pot (sometimes I make my own drinks), and another succulent plant that I was supposed to keep indoors but that survived very well on the balcony (there was a plastic tag with the name, but it came off and I don't remember the exact name - it has spikes around its leaves).

I love frangipani flowers. I got a cutting off my sister, and just shoved it in a pot, then ignored itโฆ literallyโฆ lol. If it rained, it got watered, basically. ๐
pits doing quite well now. Has a hand full of leaves and went in the ground yesterday. Too little to flower yet.

Plenty of beautiful plants in pots that thrive quite well.
99% of my garden, is in pots.
Balconies are great for potted plants. ๐
