There’s a thread in the Seller Discussion Board about new wording sent to sellers to inform them of a sale. It’s now “You made the sale for [$xxxx]”.
That’s quite bizarre wording; as has been mentioned in that thread, it doesn’t seem natural, and not the way that an Australian would express himself/herself.
What other US wording or expressions just seem a little odd to Australians?
(Of course, some of our Australianisms are equally odd to Americans…)
1. “I’ll fix you a meal.” (To me, this seems to be an admission that the steak is charcoal, the eggs are rubbery, the potatoes are burned, the sauce has separated, and the soufflé has collapsed… and the unfortunate cook is going to attempt a culinary repair.)

"Off of". I can't deal with it. It does my head in. "I took it off of the shelf". ARGH!

Off of does not flow euphoniously, and it pricks at the mind like a plumply persistent mosquito with an aggravating whine.

Y'all

I don't mind y'all
It certainly runs rings around our version - yous - you's - youse - yews - whatever

I really don’t like “youse”… but we do have the dilemma in modern English of having no second person plural. We lost thou/thee and retained you (although we also lost ye for the most part)… and of course you/ye were the plural form…
I am always willing to use language in an interesting way and to risk quizzical looks and a bit of mockery in the pursuit of word exploration… I’m just not sure resurrecting thee for singular you (and using you for the plural) would work. At the moment I tend to use “all of you” as the plural if a simple “you” isn’t clear.
What do you think? Y’all, all of you, youse… or something else?

I don't like youse or y'all.
'All of you' works.

Or you-all? Better than y'all at any rate...
