Icy I'm not huge in the family dept and who knows if they will be there if you need them? Those who have that certainty are very fortunate. She maybe thought her brother had her back, which he obviously didn't..Also her illness would perhaps have rendered her unable to communicate or even think clearly. Yes sadly easy prey. .
We don't know the brother's circumstances, Bright.
Thing is, it's good to have family, but they don't or can't always take on the responsibility of an ailing family member.
