he used slogans/lies to win and the dumbies believed him.
Which slogans? Which lies?
(I don't quite understand the deaf and mute reference)

What did he lie about? He vowed to stop asylum seeker boats in term one of Coalition government.
He also said the Opposition policies on border protection would make a difference from day one. They have.
Did anyone actually believe he meant the boats will stop coming from day one? Really?
What are the other lies he is being accused of?
C'mon. The labor policy was still in place when he claimed to have already made a difference. Anyone with any intelligence would have known that he can't stop the boats. But he kept saying he would over and over and over and he is still staying that he will.
Lies! Open and transparent goverment! “...restore accountability and improve transparency measures to be more accountable to you.” Let's see.
UN Security Council - “Our PM should not be swanning around New York talking to Africans [about the UN bid],” Mr Abbott said when then PM Gillard was lobbying hard for the honour last year. Now he's saying, “The Coalition always supported Australia's role in the UN, we certainly supported Australia being on the Security Council."
No information regarding asylum seekers. The friday meeting is a farce because we are just told that it is an operation matter and won't be discussed.
Budget. Won't release details on why they want to increase the debt.“ We will get the Budget back under control, cut waste and start reducing debt.” "We will stabilise and repay the $340 billion of Labor debt.” Howled the place down when in opposition when labor wanted to increase it and wanted to know exactly what the money was for. Now, won't tell us anything.
FOI. Continually refuse to allow access to information by exempting documents, reports etc claiming they are not to be released.
Need any more, there's plenty.

@donnashuggy wrote:So all the times he said "stop the boats" he is forgiven because a handful of times he said (and nobody heard) that it was going to be in one term, that is rubbish!
The objective was to stop the boats. The policy was going to make a difference from day one.

Actually not so.
"The bulk of the dramatic fall in asylum-seeker boat arrivals happened under Labor's last-ditch Papua New Guinea deal announced before the election campaign, a Fairfax Media analysis shows.
An analysis of week-on-week boat arrivals in the period from July 19, when Kevin Rudd announced the ''Papua New Guinea solution'', shows the rate of arrivals has fallen steadily but the drop was most pronounced before the Abbott government was sworn in."

trying doesn't cut it when you say you are going to stop them several thousand times, use it as a slogan to win an election then fail.
i didnt vote for him cos of his boat policy. i voted for a change of gov cos all the upheaval in the last one, i thought they needed some time to regroup and rebuild and stabalize.
plus i didnt like how the NDIS was sold to us
or the school kids bonus
or the rise in the tax free threshold
didnt like naplan
didnt like the managment of the $3 million dollar buildings
i didnt like how any of those were sold to us, it wasnt transparent and a lot of people dont know to look deeper at what the changes really mean
some other stuff to do with health and education i dont like either, hoping a dif gov will do it different, maybe they will, maybe they wont, time will tell.

Too early to tell.

is this supposed to be a PM bashing thread or one about 39 people's lives being saved?
That was actually the reason (the 39 asylum seekers) why I entered the thread and got sidetracked.
Good night.

Prime Minister Cameron is getting stuck into Sri Lanka over human rights abuses while Tony openly praises their "progress" in this area (where did he get that from?) and gives their armed forces a nice little Chrissy present. This is not a good look internationally.
