Anthrax has reared its ugly head again with a death in Victoria of a cow.

We were about due for another outbreak.


I went to school in an area that had Anthrax, we always had to keep and eye out if someone was ill,
Especially since we played contact sport on it.

Luckily its Dairy country at Tatura.

Tat is not far from me. Not the first time it has turned up there. I think I read somewhere that the spores can stay in the soil for 100 years or more. The locals are attuned to the possibilityof an outbreak, and quarantine and vaccination is underway.

As you say, whereever anthrax naturally occurs, theocals are always in tune, eyes open for an outbreak.
