Just wondering if there's anyone else here living permanently on the road (nomad style) interested in chatting with me now and then? OK with me if by PM or on open boards. Age/sex/relationships irrelevant as only interested in friendly chat now and then.
I have a 2011 Winnebago Menindee 26.5 footer and towing a tandem trailer loaded with my 4x4 with my 12 foot tinnie on top. Vic plates. What are you in/with?
Right now I'm parked up just outside Cooktown Qld and headed across toward Darwin soon but in no hurry
I'm often out of mobile internet areas but will try to stay in touch as best I can
Been on road just over 12 months now

What does it matter really if the OP is that m person.
who are they hurting no one
no wonder when people do come here they leave in a hurry because the are being accused of being someone else and so on and so on
lighten up people give the person a break
at least it is something different to seeing the endless amount of posts relating to politics.

Hangten, what you're doing sounds awesome and it's what my OH and I would like to do when we retire. My OH has no real desire to travel overseas but wants to buy a caravan one day and just take off in whatever direction appeals at the time. Are you documenting everything? Great to reflect back on experiences/sights etc. All the best for your adventures.

It is a fantastic life style. One which I am looking forward to getting back to.

i traveled around Australia with my now hubby about 15 years ago for a year and a half.
We left from Dubbo in a little 12 foot pop top van but early in the trip upgraded to a 14ft caravan with an annexe. We towed it with a ford ute on gas.
We were young so we traveled then stopped and worked for a while before moving on.
We went up the NSW and QLD coast all the way up to Cairns. Then back down to Townsville and across to Tennant Creek and all the way down to Adelaide. Thats where we stopped and settled.
Amazing time.
Amazing places.
Amazing memories
Would love to do it again when the kids have grown

and write what you want, just remember some people will keep notes and can and will throw stuff back at you when ever the opportunity arises.
You have to have the skin of a rhino to hang around here.
Hi,
I got back into Cooktown late yesterday after a fantastic few days on the fishing charter
I'm now sorting myself out ready to pull out bright and early tomorrow headed westward
I doubt I'll become a regular contributor on these boards so I won't need to concern myself about what others here think or say about me but if it makes them happy they can go for it as they please
If the rumours circulating concerning Ebay prove correct these message boards will cease to exist after the end of this month so they'll be looking for somewhere else to play their petty games
They don't need me to contribute anything anyway as they appear to be extremely good at making up their own stories as they go along
One thing for certain is that whoever this M person is they seem to have these people running around in silly circles chasing their own tails :^O
I may be able to get mobile connection once I get into the Karumba area so I may look in here again then but if not I won't worry about it until I reach Darwin in two or three weeks time but I certainly won't be breaking my neck to do it
