After knowing practically nothing about this woman, Trove just told me what ship she arrived on in 1852 and then her movements from there!
flashie I have looked at Scotlands people, will try again one day
Thanks punch I am interested in one of those links

Punch............I have been looking on Facebook at pictures on Amazing Tasmania............gawd they are beautiful.
Clair...............Trove is just the best site for all that sort of stuff.
I found this before and after pictures today..............in the today shot there is a Petrol Station to the left........and across the road is Hungry Jacks.............I am not sure what happened to the head stones..........I never knew this building was a church..........and I see it every day.

So there's a road over the graves now?

Yes..............it is a rather large intersection.

Sometimes I just with things were like they used to be
Where do you find these before & after photos flashie?

Clair............I finally joined Facebook.......after years of my children nagging me.
But I hate the games and stuff like that.........so I went looking for genealogy pages.
My son-in-law is a contributor to the Amazing Tasmania site...............and Yeoldetasmania......and both pages have many active members.
Amazing Tasmania is more likely to have current pictures...........and Yeoldetasmania the old ones.
And sometimes you get lucky and someone has pu tthem together like in the picture above.

Punch, both OH & I watched your film this morning. we loved it, especially seeing the trams and horses & carts on the roads together. I 'd never given any thought to all the horse mess on the
roads, till I saw people watching where they were stepping. the ladies in their long dresses & a cleaning man with a big broom, cleaning away the mess.
I think it was Richmond station, with hardly any people on the station and the steam trains
thanks for posting it, it was well worth watching

Here is another before and after picture...............I think it is sad the old building was demolished to make way for the new one.....I can not see an beauty in the new building.
These buildings are in our city centre.

Umm I think she came out on a Bride Ship. Single young girls or servants coming to W.A. between 1849 and 1889 on "Bride Ships" looking for a husband?
