Anyone else into seeking their ancestors?

I have become adicted to Ancestry.com and am lucky enough that one side of my family can be researched way back into the dim times.

The other side has hit a brick wall and I have to wait until someone else in the world may have more information.

How is everyone else going?

Flashie I did a few bdm searches omitting the surnames in case of spelling errors and I still couldn't find her. I think she either wasnt registered or wasnt louisas child.

Call me greedy, but I really wish my Brighton ancestors had stayed put. Their houses would be worth a fortune by now!

Was just looking at my tree and noticing for the first time how young some of the kids were when both their parents had died. Wonder what happened to them? Maybe they were taken in by older members of the family?

I also just came across my great grandfathers family. When he was 14, he lost his 2 youngest brothers and 2 youngest sisters Woman Sad they died on the 24 July, 27th July, 30th July and 4th August in 1896. All from the flu ages from 1yo - 6yo. Cant imagine anything more heartbreaking.

I only noticed today that a couple of my grandfathers sisters were named after his sisters that died.

Sometimes I get so caught up in each indidvidual person, I dont take as much notice of the family unit.

Wow that's so sad punch and yeah I get caught up in one person and don't see the whole picture. Like my grt grandmother had her first baby two months after her wedding lol but it took my 2nd cousin in Perth to point that out to me and also to point out that both her parents had died and she was pg and very much alone
