Anyone good at maths?

Hi, is someone able to help with this because I'm having total brain drain trying to work it out.  There's a job advertised which states 32 hours per week, $44.000 per year pro rata.  Can someone give me an idea of what the hourly rate would work out too?

Yes, the $44000 is the full time rate so they get 32 hours worth of the full time amount.

Pro rata means they get part of the full time rate which would be $44000.

Re: Anyone good at maths?

Yes of course freaki, OP did mention pro rata.

So it's 22.27 per hour and would equate to 37,057 per year.

Nobody did but pro rata implies that $44000 is the full time rate.

pro rata is iralavent( spell check that)if you make $44000 a year and work 32 hours a week you are earning $26.44 a hour

Re: Anyone good at maths?

Sorry mrgrizz but  "$44.000 per year pro rata"  means a reducing or increasing scale depending on the hours worked.

Unless they are giving the 44,000 as the already pro rata rate calculated based on 32 hours, but I doubt it.

If pro rate was irrelevant it would not have been included.

Re: Anyone good at maths?

$44000 p.a / 2080 hrs (full time 40 hrs pw) = $21.15 p.h.

Worker employed 32 hrs pw: $21.15 x 32 hrs = $676.80 p.w.   $35 193 p.a approx

Full time worker : $21.15 x 40 hrs p.w. = $ 846 p.w.  $43 992 approx Full time worker

Depends how many hours per week full time worker works in that job -   35, 37.5, 40hrs ? as to what the hourly rate is.
