On all these extra channels paid TV are supplying?
I can't help thinking we are spoilt for choice and are a lot of them rubbish?

I could do without all the kids channels and the sports channels -
totally wasted in my house, but they come with the packages

I think you're right. It seems they are just changing the names of some of the channels and adding a couple of music channels.
We have had Foxtel for years, and when we move next year will most probably give it away. Apart from a few really good shows, most evenings I can't find anything to watch.
Too many repeats and too many ads IMO.
I still wish we could just choose the channels we want.

we had foxtel for about 9 years(got sick of paying heaps for stuff i didnt want and a bunch of repeats)
when we moved 17 months ago i didnt bother getting it again
we got a guy to come install antenna on the roof and have free to air tv
not that we watch it much
we all have our own computers and spend most of our time on them
and the android phones and tablets and 4 game systems and ds, ds lite and the new 3dxl
tv is kind of boring these day with all the other gadgets we have lol

I wouldn't bother with it but everyone else in the house does. And we have one upstairs and down!
So I said to hubby, call them up and negotiate a better deal as after all these years I think we are paying too much.
I would have done it myself... but they wont speak to me because he is the account holder. Eye roll.
Well he was like an excited kid when he told me for ONLY $8 more per month we have all these extra channels....
Imagine my joy.

They will negotiate sometimes. A friend is moving interstate and rang to cancel it permanently however they were offered the same deal they had cheaper and the IQ box which they didn't have before, so they signed up again.

I'm in the NFI club. Never had it, never will. When I used to be able to receive a signal (analogue) the 5 free channels were sufficient.
