Get a quote from the local joinery too. They sometimes surprise with their level of competitiveness.

Why not take the doors off, sand the doors and the framework down and repaint with wash and wear paint. Attach new doorknobs and put the doors back on. Much cheaper and a great renovation job you can do on your own.

Erica, I want to change the look of the cupboards, everything else is ok.

I accidently kudoed yu instead of 'reply'.
Are your cupboard doors standard or was the kitchen custom made? If custom made you'll have buckleys getting new doors off the shelf.
If not, I would steer clear of ikea - their doors have ready made holes for hinges that fit exactly into their carcasses. From experience I know that retrofitting with IKEA doors is near to impossible.
I agree with Erica - it's amazing what a semi gloss paint can do to even the ugliest shaped doors.
The other thing you can do is take the doors off, patch the holes where hinge is, paint them and spin them around. As long as you only want flat doors with no moulding, they will fit perfectly and it will save you a tonne of money.

Martini they are standard flat pack.
But now you both have me thinking about just painting the doors too cause I like the unmoulded look.
Thank you guys.
