The new word for this year? It's 'Shocking'.
Everything in TV and mazazines is SHOCKING.
Now I have pointed this out to you, I hope it gets to you as it has to me, then I won't be lonely

Well I was SHOCKED the other night when a news report mentioned a crime against an ELDERLY man.
Geez, he was only 68, not 98.

I am sick of hearing SHOCKING (insert word) on the news too
Me too Roo.
And I am sick of hearing people from all walks of life use the word "basically" inappropriately.
The latest in an interview was ...... basically I was walking down the street and .
Basically it drives me up the wall

I suppose that basically, they are getting down to brass tacks?

Hey Darki, how are you travelling? I hope you and the babies are well, in spite of your toe.
I just found this in the Urban Dictionary which gave me a bit of a laugh.

I get annoyed when they state the bleeding obvious, for example;
The body of a dead woman was found.........
Duh, as if we wouldn't be able to guess that she was dead when they mentioned the word body.

Hi freshy the dogs are doing okay, and Harry is recovering from his rear leg injury, so all is well - well, basically
also, basically, my toe is coming right although it was SHOCKINGLY painful when it happened

Oh yes, nothing like finding the body of a dead woman... SHEESH!
The other day I saw a sign outside a property... "Old horse poo for sale'... question: Which is old, the horse or the poo? This has yet to be decided.
