Are asylum seekers being processed on Manus?

Or are they being told there is no hope regardless of their circumstances.

I felt particularly sad listening to how gays are treated. She has put that in her twitter feed Karen and her following is growing by the hour.

What would we do without twitter?

Some people give "righties" a bad name. Surely, it is not just us "lefties" who have compassion?

Hello, everyone. This discussion is getting a little heated. Could we please communicate with a more civil tone. Thanks!

I'm sure they'll demonstrate their compassion after reading that report, I guess I'll just have to wait and see.

Tara Moss the Barbara Cartland of crime fiction?

I tried one or two of her books and didn't like them. But that's just my personal opinion.

Look. I'm truly sorry about what happened to young Reza. I'm sure everyone is. By the way, has it been established who actually killed him? Guards? Locals? Other inmates?

According to Ms Moss's friend's contact's Smiley Wink source:

"An Australian G4S guard who wouldn’t appear on camera because of his contract with the company told the ABC the 23-year-old Iranian man who died, Reza Berati, was hit with lengths of wood, with metal poles taken from beds and had his head or neck stomped. But the ABC cannot verify the accuracy of this information.

Let's say it's verified though. In that case who perpetrated this violence on him? Guards? Locals? Other inmates? And why?

Whatever and whoever it was a terrible end for that young man.

I can only hope things will be better under the new Transfield Security Group. Can't really see it though. If people are intent on riot and others intent on preventing it, it's bound to get ugly.

I don't have any kind of suggestion of a solution, but I support in every way Mr Abbott's Sovereign Borders, and that people arriving in boats without entry visas should not be allowed into Australia until they've been duly processed. Certainly not groups of young men. Families, or women with children, maybe.

I hope that people who try to jump the queue by paying people smugglers see that it's no longer open slather.
