Are heated discussions interpersonal disputes?

In my view there is a vast difference between passionate debate (heated discussion) and interpersonal dispute.

I agree that interpersonal anything should be given the chop but discussions that adhere to the rules of debate and address the issue are NOT interpersonal in their nature

Without debate society would still be in the cave.

Moderators may I make a suggestion? ............Thank you.

Do not be too hasty in your judgement as to what constitutes an "Interpersonal Dispute".

In a lot of  cases interpersonal disputes are veiled so as to appear innocent the do not get the proper treatment that they so richly deserve. I realise that Lithum moderators are only noobies to this site and are not aware of the forum dynamics as yet, let us hope that the learning curve gets accelerated as time passes.

Yeah, lurker asked how to do pics on an iPad, and you do use Chrome and change to desktop site, then you get the same text box as you normal people, with pic insertion options.

umm, that is the first time I have ever oohed and ahhed over a lol cat (I admit to defacing a few) I just thought it polite to ask if I could copy it before i swiped it.

=> Often a heated discussion escalates quite quickly into an interpersonal dispute - it is a fine line, and IMO, best to nip it in the bud before it gets to the stage where people get hurt.
