why?
on โ02-02-2013 10:50 AM
why?
well they start at least one a day. it is over the top boring .. some people like to avoid bolt , akerman and other sundry megaphones. i do. i like to read original thought instead.
on โ02-02-2013 10:52 AM
Yes, but...if you post an original thought or an opinion without a link you get shot down. Someone should do a list of rules for posting.....:8}

i dont mind being shot down . the things that really bother me aren't political anyway, they are personal and nobody here knows what they are. (unless you are lurking out there somewhere L)

az - there is a big difference between posting an opinion for discussion with a link or C&P attached for reference than an unedited C&P (sometimes with no link at all) with no personal comment from the OP at all.
I think that is what lakeland is talking about.
I like to read the opinions of my fellow forum posters and find the thoughts of bolt/pickering/et al of NO INTEREST whatsoever.
on โ02-02-2013 11:03 AM
but... you can usually google it.... unless it is an obscure statement that has not been written directly from the source.
I was more trying to ascertain what this meant specificially adresss nero and LD's id's
and the answer is, I misunderstood.
on โ02-02-2013 11:07 AM
But why should I have to google their posts to see if it is their words or some knumbskull opinion reporter? How hard is it to offer your opinion as to WHY you are posting some dreary C&P?
And I think Lakeland means that it seems to be serial offenders that do this.
Which, quite frankly, makes it easier to decide which threads to read or not on this forum. ๐
on โ02-02-2013 11:16 AM
No, not what I meant at all.......
I prefer to read an opinion too, followed by an excerpt of the article and the link.....then I can decide if I want to read it.
However, I wouldn't tell anyone what/how to post....but my opinion of the post is mine to post. ๐

I don't like the political threads, mainly because I have no interest in politics.
I don't start my own threads mainly because I don't often have anything interesting/controversial to talk about..
