Are the Scots a walking paradox?

It isn't all that long ago that Scotland had a vote asking if it should stay wedded to the UK or go it alone. The vote was to remain united with the UK. Now Scotland wants a vote to decide if it can stay wedded to the EU. What happened to the big push to become a free and independent country beholden to no one. Gone is that desire to be free and independent as it seeks to remain in the EU. What happened to that burning desire to strike out alone?

it's pretty simple really. Scotland voted to stay with the UK in the referendum as they wanted to stay in the EU. now they still want to stay in the EU

I am sure the Scots have difficulty understanding the Australian accent.....along with a lot of other nations.

After 17 years in the USA I had trouble understanding the accent when I came home, even though I deliberately kept my Oz accent (maybe because I am a 7th generation Australian and I love the unique accent).
