for science? cosmetics or others?
Do you differentiate between what animal being tested is acceptable to you?

So if a company rides on the coat tail of another companies testing, are they really 'cruelty free'?
No way.

In medical research they breed the animals for the purpose of research.
The animals wouldn't have been born otherwise.
I don't consider myself qualified to advocate against using animals as I would have benefited from such research in my life. I think it is justifiable.
My daughter is studying to get into that field.

A perfect example has just popped up on the front page of the Sydney Morning Herald - a new product that is injected into the skin to create a tan.
Therapeutic Goods Administration is warning women (and men) that using this product could be lethal. The Cancer Council warns that we don't know the full effects of this product as it hasn't been 'tested'.
Here is the article:http://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/life/dark-side-tanning-injections-may-be-lethal-20130216-2ejv1.html
Whilst we humans are stupid enough to put chemicals in our body in order to look/smell/feel better, then animal testing will need to continue.

Should also point out that the Body Shop may not test on animals but L'Oreal (who owns Body Shop) sure does.
As I already posted above (in separate postst):
L’Oreal, Max Factor, Pantene, Johnson and Johnson and Wella also test on animals in order to sell to China.
Body Shop, that is owned by L’Oreal, only stocks cruelty free products

Can't go with that one I'm afraid, they still feel.
We are the clever apes.
Do you eat meat, Denmark?
I know we are bob, but imagine if aliens started experimenting on us.
Rarely eat meat, live on fruit, steamed vegies, rice and tofu. Besides, hunting for food is part of nature, not torturous slow deaths from sickness testing. (If that's what you meant).
