SN once again this old chestnut apropos Bishop and when she was a solicitor, 1980 period. She was  one of a few lawyers acting upon direct instructions from  the client, CSR,  and ethically  was bound to follow them or be  liable to sanction  by the appropriate law association.

The original matter was raised by the ALP  frontbencher Brendan O'Connor because the ALP wanted to deflect the then "noise"  being generated  about the Poor Me's union slush fund revelation, and questions over her departure from Slater & Gordon after former equity partner Nick Styant-Browne broke a 17-year silence to reveal Ms Gillard left her job because the firm "took a very serious view" of her conduct.

SN, I suppose you feel  the same "supposed  outrage" whenever a criminal defence lawyer acts on behalf of a murderer,  rapist,  or paedophile?.
