At The Carwash

Went to get my car washed today.

Hasn't been done since the bushfires.

Place was like a ghost town, only about 4 cars there, spaced well apart, where usually it's a continual producttion line.

The cafe was not only closed, but totally ripped out. The chairs were lined up with "No entry" signs stuck to them.

Where there's usually swarms of ppl running around with chamois and vacuumers, mainly students from India, by the looks, there were only about 6 ppl doing the work. Whom I recognised as mainly the managers.

One of the managers, who I see regularly hustling the washers and managing the line, was in there, shorts and a T-shirt (with the company logo), doing the job.

They even put up the bonnet and vacuumed the leaves out of the tray! Never been done before! Too busy!

I commented to the manager guy, as to how unusual it was to see him out of his white shirt and tie and into the shorts and

t-shirt.

He smiled and said, "too many Chiefs and not enough Indians, ma'am"

Woman LOL

Good to hear the social distancing thing is working.

Talk about contentious and argumentative.

I think most businesses and especially owners are just thankful they are still able to operate. Under tight restrictions of course. It's better than being shut down.

To my understanding you broke the law because your car's dirtiness is not one of the essential reasons to venture out of your home.

I need to go to Bunnings for a few things, but I too cannot visit the store. Yet Bunnings and other such businesses are being told to keep operating. But we can't go there! How are they and the other business supposed to operate other than online? Is it just me?

What if you don't get money from the government?

They're operating to government restrictions as best they can. Nobody wants to see ppl thrown out of employment.

It's probably just you.
