At what age is it okay for a sleep over?

For your son/daughter to allow their partners to spend the night (same bed) in your family home?

Personally, I agree with the majority here.  18+.  Once they become adults, not sure how we as parents can have any say in it.

while they live in your house, you can have plenty of say in it

Yes, true.  I am hoping that when my daughter becomes and adult we will remain to have a mutual respect so it won't be a matter of not allowing her to do anything, if that makes sense.  I guess we will have to wait and see.  Not that long to go :_|

No way would I allow my 16 y/o to have bf stay over.

She had a nice bf for close to 2 yrs, they broke up a few months ago. They didnt get that much 'alone' time, didn't have sex, I know this.

i have a nearly 14 y/o son..... And a 1 y/o, I can't imagine anytime soon that the situation would arise for a sleepover, I will have to assess the whole scenario when it does, not before 18.

i agree with that meep.

For me, it was a matter of having to much respect for my parents that i didnt ask to have my bf sleep over. I also never, ever swore in front of my parents and still wouldnt

I don't think I'd ever allow it in my home to be honest but never say never.

But if I was it would have to be over 18 and in a well established relationship I would think before it would be considered.  I don't think 16 is a good age to allow it but that is JMHO.

Nothing wrong with still doing it in a car Crystal and I'd say a lot still do that will never change.

Anyone ever tried in a moving Car? now that is an experience.
