How dry the land looks.
How thin they both are

Its sad Katy when folk have been on outback properties for many years.
The banks kick them out (not just this Property) then try and sell the property.
Because of drought etc-the properties dont sell.
The banks then realise -the best folk to run the farms when it rains again---
--are the folk they kicked out--been going on for 150 years.........Richo.

Damn...that's good news at Xmas toime!
Mind you, as Charlie's the most prominent of his ilkin the news, it was a 'given' that the banks would do something nice to save face.
I wonder how all the others, forced off their properties, are faring?
It's just great that ANZ came to the party for Charlie, but one wonders what would the outcome had been, if he hadn't gained the notoriety?

I've noticed a lot of the frarmers are old like Charlie like that farmer Bill Ryan that got arrested for blocking the Maules Creek mine.
Where is the next generation?
I know there is a junior Mr Phillott around, how does he stand in all this. Nothing has been made known.
Is it simply a matter of waiting for the banks until the old ppl die off so they can resume the land and sell it anyway?

Bumping this news worthy thread.
The result/outcome to date is GREAT news.
I wish all Australian Farmers and their families.......even their bank managers, a very Happy Christmas and lots -not too much- of rain in the New Year.
