Deficit levy has more support among voters than business and some MPs

The latest Essential poll found 34% of Australians supported the idea of a deficit tax and another 34% opposed it.

. but if they increase taxes and prices too much there will be much less cash flowing through the economy, and that's bad for everyone

I am not demanding I am asking a question and as so many on here are objecting to a high income earners tax the question is a very simple one, does it effect you and if not whats the problem then?

The left and socialist mantra is make the wealthy pay and I thought that they would be doing cartwheels of joy about the evil rich being taxed.
