I don't feel comfortable with the 2014 Australian of the Year, Mr. Goode. I just can't help feeling that if he could not handle the rudeness and bad manners of a 13 year old girl without crucifying her on most forms of social media to make a political point of his own, however justified is concerning. I wonder how he will handle interjections and comments he finds offensive during his term of office.

Wasn't she at the football with her Grandmother? It wouldn't be difficult to see she was only a child.

yes i was certainly made aware of his indigenous contributions on the footy show due to that petty little incident.

If you give to your Community maybe you are in the running for Australian of the year 2015 ?
or have you already been awarded that ?
I chose to decline the kind offer on several occasions 🙂

Both the Australian and Senior Australian of the Year are advocates for Recognition, which will hopefully happen this year so these two men being awarded is appropriate and I congratulate them.I also congratulate paralympic champion, Jacqueline Freney, for being awarded Young Australian of the Year and Tim Conolan for Australia's Local Hero.

It doesn't worry me lind but it's interesting as I suppose we like to think the person has been well chosen.
