This is horrific for the innocent people who have been targeted by the radical Islamic terror group ISIL.
When Tony Abbott said "they are coming for us" he was vilified by the left, accused of fear mongering and dishonest.
What a lot of left commentators and left wing media will not acknowledge is the PM is in receipt of all security briefings and is warning us, as he should.
This hit list on innocent Australians walking down the street or going about their business has been put on a hit list to be executed by radial Islamic terror adherents.

business? yes. buying drugs is a choice.
Do you really think the genral public is not affected by the actions of drug dealers? What do you imagine is the cause of so many of those random acts of violence that kill innocent people going about their business?

not the same threat.
drug addicts usually commit robberies.
they don't want to get caught.
these terrorists are prepared to die
and take as many people with them
as possible often committing brutal,
barbaric acts, believing they will be
rewarded in paradise. they believe
its their duty

What really are you trying to prove
This is not a school debate
You seem to argue every point
Just for arguments sake
You do it on every subject
Are you saying it's Ok for
Jihadis to bomb people because
It's Ok for bikies to sell Drugs
Are you saying that it's Ok
For them to kill innocent people
Because somewhere in history
Someone else had committed
Atrocities
Are you saying that we should just
Allow this thing to fester and never
Speak of it
Really I find it hard to read your
Posts because it seems like your
Saying one thing and actually
Meaning another

Drug or alcohol abuse are also responsible for most of the deaths in this country from house invasions, domestic vilolence and one punch attacks - do you think the victims are any less dead because their killers were high on drugs or booze rather than religious zeal?
Now I'm going to stick my neck out and give an opinion and a prediction.
Opinion: the greatest threat to public safety in Australia at the moment is illicit drugs (particulary methamphetamine) and excessive alcohol
Prediction: Over the next 12 months there will be at least ten times more people die in this country as a direct or indirect result of drugs and alcohol than will be killed by Muslim extremists.

Then I'm afraid you'd lose your bet. On the rare occasions that I have placed a bet on the Melbourne Cup I've only ever backed one horse - using the old list of runners, blindfold and a pin method.

There always has and always will be threats to public safety in Australia from extremist groups or individuals - currently the greatest of these threats is from Muslim extremists. We need to be aware of this and take steps to protect ourselves.
how?

i will not die as a result of drug
or alcohol abuse.
no domestic violence here either.
one punch - highly unlikely -
i don't put myself in risky situations:
late nights, pubs, night clubs etc.
spending a lot of time in sydney
cbd on daily basis does worry me
and not because of any of the above.
you may live in an environment where you
perceive personal safety risks differently.
