Mornin' JV, Richo n Ooak
10 here. heading for 17, wind seems to have abated, thank goodness .....
Sorry you are not feeling well Ooak, liked the "new" dress lol .... Is the smoke still hanging around up there or has it now started to clear a bit?
Hubs is mad, keen with his golf JV, gues it keeps him out of your hair for while lol
Nice bit of rain Richo, farmers will be smiling .... 22mm here since Sat night, vegies are leaping out of the ground as are the weeds lol
Bit of outside tidying/cleaning up to do outside today, lawns need to be mown but ground is too wet atm, have 2 pumpkins staring at me that need to be turned into soup, so better get that done today as well ...... Have another 4 still on the vine, not bad for a feral that sprouted far too late in the season.
Hope everyone had a good day today 🙂

Morning Bushie.
You have done well with that feral pumkin vine.
Last unit i lived in-some sweet bite tomatoes just appeared in the garden at the back.
Reappeared for a few summers-too many for me-kept sharing at the work place.
Best tasting tomatoes ive ever had.
No stakes-just draped them over the shrubs in the garden..................................Richo///.

Yeah looks like we will be right for pumpkins for a while Richo lol
Sweet Bites are very prolific producers Richo, I made a mistake last Summer, didnt read the punnet label properly and planted 2 punnets of them ..... they went berserk, 100's on tommies on each vine n I had 12 vines lol ...... Ended up pulling them out early, cause I had so many lol
Wont make that mistake this yr lol

Richo we are building new raised bed where they were growing, so the ferals may or may not come through, will wait and see what happens ... sure dont want 12 bushes of 'em lol

Good morning richo and everyone.
I think the really warm days have left us but I guess we had a long run. Autumn is nearly over as well.
Hope you come good soon ooaks - we miss your cheery posts.
Bushie, I was given 2 fresh beetroot so I pickled them - so much better than the tinned stuff so I hope mine go well. My cousin's friend is over seas and told him to help himself to anything in the garden so he dropped some vegies in. The carrots and parsnips were so large that I though they would be woody but they cooked up great. The only things that weren't super sized were the leeks - he lives out of town and has a large garden.
jv and cc will still be having lots of sunshine. Sometimes I wish we lived further north but then, I couldn't leave the grandies.
Linda, they are taking too long to find you a bed. Has Bruce tried to hurry things along? Look after yourself.
jv, when's your next trip and where to? We go to Yarrawonga for a few days in a couple of weeks. We are going a day early to stay with Frank's niece in Shepparton for a night as she hasn't been well - she has shingles.
Waves to every one else and hugs for those who need one...... got Milla from 12.30 and picking up James from school - I think Kim is working until 5.30. Frank has to take James to basketball. Have a good one everyone ...

Morning Sandy.
Nice easy day for you ahead-good getting some free vegies.
Maybe you can linger longer in Yarrawonga if its warmer than here at the time.
Bushie-just a couple of those plants is enough.lol
13 degs here at 10am-still a bit windy but not like its been for a few days.
Sun came out as i am posting..........................................................................................Richo/////.

Morning Sandy
Fantastic re getting the fresh vegies, nothing beats home grown 🙂 ..... Hope the beetroot turns out well for you, I did some last summer, tasted great, I only did enough to keep in the fridge 'cause I didnt have any jars to put it in ..... This yr I will be putting some in jars as well
How is Franks vegie garden going? Something keeps eating my bok choy, been outside at night with a torch but cant see what is doing it, not impressed ... Other ten that most of it seem to be growing ok, now the colder weather has hit
Have posted a cp of pics
Yeah learned my lesson Richo, will put my glasses on next time I buy tommie seedlings lol
