Seems to be a lack of threads for blokes.
On other threads,some ladies have mentioned, their OHs
would post, but had no interest in most of the threads on offer.
I can bump this thead twice a day,so its easy to find.

Dom the meds cause lots of different problems one being joint stiffness and pain-

fingers knees shoulders and the list goes on - the meds deplete the body of estrogen

so bone problems. My BC had began to travel to the lymph glands so 20 from under my

arm were removed. I worry if I go off the meds the C will return - it's a real fear. My R knee

has given my probs for many years but is now worse then ever - I can't help but wonder if

the BC med could be whats causing the current issue - I don't want to have unnecessary surgery

if I can avoid it - the only way to know will be to go off the med for 2 months and pray the BC

doesn't return. I'm feeling miserable and being a sook Dom - sorry!

Evening all,

Freddie when we're u supposed to go off the bc meds.....I didn't have to have any as the bc wasn't hormone driven...just wondering with both knees giving u the wily woos sounds like the meds....unrelated but whenever I take statins my joints r bloody agony.....cannot take any sort of statin.............big decision for you ......life rarely is fitted with rose coloured glasses,have a good soon that will make u feel better,well helps anyway lol.

Ooaks tough day 4 u today girl also.

Dom richo always comes back from one of these trips vowing never to go again but does lol.

Stawka,Bushie hope u r both feeling stronger

Oh Freddie what a dilemma, but you have to be able to walk.  Advice from others that have faced similar problems sounds a lot better than my "oh dear".

G'Morning all ~~~

JV it will be 4yrs since my surgery on 30th of this month - I was told I would

need to take the meds for 5yrs so about March/April next year will be the 5yr mark.

I was like you on Crestor JV it had my sytstem like I was poisoned - i'm now on simvastin

and tolerate it well. I think i've suffered every side effect possible from the BC med and i'm 

fed up with the battle of trying to ignore them - after talking with Mr F i've decided I will take the

2 month break so no BC med from last night. It's frustrating when the Doctor's won't acknowledge 

the side effects when all they need to do is go on the BC forums and read some of the sad stories

from women suffering. Anywayyyyy  I hope after this it will prove either yes or no.

I hope today is a better day for you ooaks it's a tough journey but remember you have us all

holding your hand as you go.

Good afternoon Ladies.

Ditto - very humid in Paradise today - overcast.

Did a bit of gardening & watering until it got too warm.

Thought I would share my ' pineapple ' bromeliad.

The one next to it is a giant - never flowered yet - would love to see it do so.

Hope all the MIAs & Sickies - are feeling a bit better.

Richo probably has Swagonitis - get in & out.

Freddie - definitely not a sook - seems the meds could be the cause of all the joint agony.
