I have Heliconia - moved now nearer the fence & in a very large pot.
Never flowered.
I live in hope - but they will take time to ' come back ' having been moved in Autumn.
Just loved them in Bali.

I assume you're feeding them, Dom.
Potash for flowers. I use that on the vegies.

It is very ' little black number ' chic.
As long as it does the job - along with staying off it - & - using the crutches - all good.
Hope you were dropped off again today and not bus-ing it.

Well thats Doctors orders-better go along with it.
Good when you get oppo shop stuff cheap-i look out for items
that folk i know are interested in.
A while back a bloke-a loner was living in a caravan on my daughters few acres.
Was right into leather work self taught-made realy good stuff-he moved on.
Purchased 2 books from different oppo shops over time.
Gutsy stuff with diagrams on leather work etc-
Had them under the car seat for months-saw him down the the street one
day -gave then to him-he had tears in his eyes.......................
Awww Richo that makes my heart sing

Know what you mean - you can tell - it stays dry but the water runs through.
No - it was in this part of the garden - no matter how much you watered - move an inch - dry as - full sun.
The reason I moved everything & did this.
It was this - heliconia on the right - tallish
As you can see - not much was done for about 2 years.

Good afternoon all - been chatty today.
Yes, Dom could go into landscape gardening if she wanted a profession. Not do it, just plan. Love that lily. Not keen on bromeliads. I did bring some plants with me - chinese ground orchids that I dug up from Frank's mum's garden and have been in a pot ever since - I will put them in the garden at long last. A pot of miniature daffodils and some red and pink coral bells for a border. They are the red flowers at the back in this photo of our Traralgon house.
Thanks stawka re the gas. No natural gas up here - all bottled gas. The gas companies come around every 2 months and top the bottles up.
Final decisions have been made re our colours and fittings. Just hope I'm happy when it is all finished.
