Arvo everyone ๐
Horrible re the busfires over in the East, been a dreadful Summer for so many people and not end in sight atm
Wondered where you were Trav, it would have been a bathub of a job, time for some R n R today
No rain on the horizon here Stawka, 25 here atm heading for 30, cloud cover and a light breeze are making it pleasant atm. Good weather for getting dry and making the garden grow ( plus the weeds )
Hubs cooked n bottled 5 large jars of pasta sauce plus 3 smaller one for his Ravioli, it used up the huge bucket of toms which had been sitting on the bench for a few days. Just as many ready to be picked and still heaps of green ones on the vines, totally "tomated" out atm. He also dug up another full bucket of spuds yesterday plus 3 more cues for a vine I have forgotten about, it just goes on n on
Stawka, I cant believe the price your op shop want for jars, they cost around 10 - 20 cents here

Arvo Stawks & Richo & Lyh
Picked up a few bucks for doing it, but was a pain to do, having limited space, having to twist and bend,
then the stink of diesel.
I felt like this with all the twisting.
I have suggested that he widens the hatch for when the motor goes back in after the rebuild.
Would be a simple job to do especially while the engine is out, might take about 2 or 3 hours to do the job,
then the engine can be lowered straight in, with only a couple of things to connect.
Said for him to call me if he is unsure about doing the hatch and I will do it.

Lyh, hubs is doing a good job doing double duty for you. Oppies don't sell just old used jars here. They wouldn't waste the shelf space. They sell fancy new ones though.
Don't know they sell any at all, though, for that price.
Trav, you better hope he widens that hatch or you'll be Gumby again

When I was kid I would sail with a guy that had a small catamaran at our local lake in comps.
Loved it.
About 15 years ago I was given a 16ft catamaran, my brother inlaw and I took it the same lake I sailed as a kid.
Problem was, it was a racing cat and the rudders would often hit on some of the sand banks in the lake and slow it down.
We decided to take it out in the ocean, launched it a boat ramp straight into the ocean.
Had some exellent times playing, including a few "incidents".
I had it for about 4 or 5 years and then sold it.

Sounds exciting Trav, I love sailing, had a friend with a 32 footer moored at Hunters Hill so used to do a fair bit of sailing on the Harbour. I owned a 24 footer ( nothing fancy ), it was moored at Saratoga, so did a fair fair bit of sailing up there as well. I was a member of Gosford sailing club, so used sail in the twilight races on Brissie water, was a barrel of fun.
Def need to watch those sand banks, they are constandly moving, have been stuck on one, not much fun
