Laid up with gastro as well.

Good afternoon. Good walk today and chat at the op shop but no Gloria Jeans. Frank had the day off from Vinnies so I had coffee with him before I went. I was keeping an eye out for this 6' bearded 109 stone man walking but didn't see him . (6' richo??)
Good news for Linda - you're going well Linda. Enjoy Benalla.
In the wars again purple. You must have a low immunity. I have to say I love Box Hill hospital. I was flown there in a helicopter from Traralgon about 30 years ago with a 15% oxygen level and Frank was told I would not make it - I had viral pneumonia and didn't know it was such a severe pneumonia. The chest specialist, Nyall Cain, said that about 50% die from it. Box Hill put me in an induced coma and brought me back.
I have been prescribed bi-focals - he said I could have multi focals but they take longer to adjust to. Expensive though - the one's they have for pensioners are shocking. About time they updated them as I think they are the same type as my mum used to wear. They will take a week to make.
Had a phone call and just waiting for the mud cake to be delivered. It has to defrost for 24hours so I won't be able to put the almond icing on until tomorrow night as it is just coming from the freezer. I do my shopping Thursday mornings so that will work out OK.
Frank is making a prop for Deearne. We had a garden gate she has used for many years for kids that do a character dance "Little Peter Rabbit" can escape under. She wants it for her end of year concert so Frank pulled it out on Saturday and it was broken. The watering can was missing altogether - he thought his days of making props were over! I'm definitely not doing any costume sewing - those days are over.
Car just pulling in - it will be the cake ..... BBL

Afternoon everyone. Finally stumbled in.
Have spent the last 3 hours at the hairdressers. He had to pretend he was
a magician. Had the works.......so, lookin' fine.
Geez, purps. Box Hill, really? Not a good rep that one. My sister goes there
a lot and they really muck her about. Hope you're on your feet soon. Then you can
move everything back where you want it. I had a friend (male) who used to move the
whole house around ever couple of months. Threw everybody out of whack.
Sandy, good luck with the icing. No second chances there.
Richo, are you napping? or have you found another way to fill your day?
Got a lot to catch up on, so I'm off
Did you today?
on โ26-11-2014 05:01 PM
Now what better way to spend the day than a nap? haha just so happens I recently had one.
Sandy you were indeed lucky to survive, Mum had viral neumonia in the 80's we thought we were going to lose her. I have an old ebay friend that works at Bx Hill Hospital and she is a fine nurse, don't know anything else.

No nap here -had a few things on the go.
Webby dropped in for a beer after his work.
Closer than coming to the old work place-in the old days-and less dramas.

Yep, Richo the cap came off. I'm all nice and blonder now
Was an oppie across the road - got a shopping bag full of crystal
and vintage glass for $5. Not what I sell, but couldn't leave it there.
Old habits die hard.

Stawka-bet you look a real treat.
Never leave any stuff worth money in an oppo shop or at a garage sale.
If its real cheap at the time..can only increase in value.
Checked out the $5.oo folder from last weeks garage sales-must be at least
$140.00 worth of new stamps that can be used today........................Richo/////.

Geez richo, I was later today or I would have ran into you. Too dear in there - their Morwell shop is OK though.
Stawka's looking good and nowhere to go . Should go and have a poke!
Received the mud cake OK and trimmed & straightened it ready to ice tomorrow. Tastes very nice! Very, very bad news though - for me a dog lover anyway. The ring bearer dog was bitten by a snake last week and they nearly lost her. Cost a lot of money to give her the anti-venom and save her but her muscles are weak and even though she has improved, her walking is still not real good. The bride said she was still going to be in it even if she had to decorate the wheelbarrow and wheel her.
What they have sounds wonderful. The handcraft work and thought is amazing. The marquee is up and everything set up. The groom has carved the table numbers and made little blackboards with messages on them. He has made a special stand for the cake - a raised stand made of old palings then he has made their names in rustic metal that goes along the front edge. He has always been very clever. I must charge up the camera battery.
Goodnight all ..... I'm out to the shed.
