This little girl, with food still stuck to her beak (they're such messy eaters at that age
), spent the afternoon with me and the cockatoos.

Depending upon whether or not I've got something that she wants to eat, she either ignores me or runs enthusiastically to me as if I'm the greatest person in the world.
Her relationship with the cockatoos has matured over the last couple of weeks; she used to flinch and run away at the sight of them, now she stands her ground and sings loudly at them.
As she's discovering, pecking isn't a good idea as cockatoos peck back!
They have their "encounters", but she has to learn about them, and they have to learn about her, and nobody is in any real danger, the worst that would come of it is, literally, ruffled feathers.
