Bad behaviour results in a far-from-merry non-Christmas

Meet the mother who cancelled Christmas.

While parents have always used Santa and Christmas as the ultimate bribe, Sydney mother of three Melissa Cooke finally acted on her threat two days before Christmas in 2011.

Her husband initially disagreed, but he came around, taking down the tree and decorations.

''I am relatively strict, but never in my wildest dreams did I think we'd follow through with cancelling Christmas,'' said Mrs Cooke, an office administrator.

Re: Bad behaviour results in a far-from-merry non-Christmas

Well I'd never cancel Christmas, why should I get punished!?? LoL

BUT, if my kids would be really naughty I'd tell them that they just "lost a present"...
Then, after all the fun of Christmas morn/day, we'd have some quiet time and I'd tell them which (awesome) items they were getting but lost.
Worked great for years, now they are teens and mostly well behaved! 🙂
